Eight long years

Eight long years have come and gone a face behind a face Unbreakable it stays alive relentless in the race Name it I won't neither now nor ever It's very name my lips will sever Not a single hair has turned or bent Yet within its genes a tragic end is sent Still it grows it may be born soon But malformed it meets its doom Once whole yet buried deep in earth's embrace Somehow freed from death's cold place It's birth defies nature's core Break it or more souls hit the floor What do I await? What's in store? What's to dread? Do I plan? Do I demand? No tears shed? A few weeks more and I'll be wading through gore
