It is hard today I should not say that It is not fair - it is always hard To create anything that is not Repurposed, reusable and a hundred years old For we possess no context to the art we consume What is it People smoking cigarettes in bars Painters starving for color Pagliacci dying for the joy of others No People like themselves too much Focus is not on innovating But on newly presenting that Which was already here a hundred years ago Society now Is not people being It is people craving A familiar feeling What we did When we did it Whom we did it with But it is not there It is a romantic fantasy It is not real and never was It is just ideas that are a hundred years old In shiny packaging Because capitalism is still a thing
