I MET GOD

I've been looking for God Been searching for God In so many places I met God in the stars In ghettos and bars In so many faces I feel like I've met God before I mean I think I know God very well I am pretty sure that on many occasions I've smoked God in anointed leaves I was risen and kissed heaven on those days I am positive that I've touched God before In consecrated flesh You might say that I've entered God On euphoric rides to ecstasy I know that I've tasted God Had my fill of God Had my God of filling In sabrosuras that could satiate a wild beast My God that was good And I have held God Cradled in my arms Warm and glowing Watched God give birth to God I watched God grow You see I raised God I'm not a religious man But man I religiously look for God In nooks and dark corners In flesh and flames Because every zealot says God is everywhere That God is in everything And I am not one to wait for revelations I don't think God needs to be read I think She needs to be felt Maybe the key to healing the madness of this world Is you seeing the God in me And I in you I've been looking for God Been searching for God In so many places I met God in the stars In ghettos and bars In so many faces I've been looking for God Been searching for God In so many places I met God in the stars In ghettos and bars In so many faces
