Mama

Mama was born in the 70s My grandparents was young and doing everything Raised in the bricks but that was Damn near the family Times was hard she was tryna keep her sanity Then she had me but it wasn't how that planned 2 be Thankful I'm here cause she could've gotten rid of me Thrown out the house but she always had a plan see My mama worked a few jobs 2 put food on the table Me and my sis home alone at a age we was able 2 cook and bathe our own make sure the choirs was done B4 we get put outside 2 have our daily fun Mama came up round the streets she seen alot of things She had her days and her nights having so many pains My mama been thru the storm she was used to the rain I said I one pray 2 god and that prayer got answered Thankful my mama beat diabetes and beat cancer Thankful my mama kept going my mom is tough as nails She got her masters degree seems like a fairy tail But this aint no cinderella this aint no Shirley temple I get my looks from my mom thats where i get my dimples I can remember a time we didnt see eye 2 eye But talk some shit 2 my mama I'll put rings on ya eyes No niggas ever hit mama cause those niggas would die She got my back when the world dont She do somethings that the world wont And taught me things that the world dont Always be there when the world wont Gotta say I'm thankful that my mama here I seen some that she days when she smile and I seen days of tears She overcame all the odds and overcame her fears Nothing could stand in her way she always persevere Always gotta place in my heart u are my pride and joy Nobody seen u grow up more than ya oldest boy
