Summer in the City

Cold summers in my city but that aint nothing new Brothers is dying everyday I see it all on the news Some in they 20s and they 30s a few of em was teens We rather live in a nightmare vs live out our dreams They get the 2 4 1 cause 1 brotha dead the other locked up Some of em got some kids already and others knocked up These homocides is sucide we killing each other And the community we putting 2 much stress on our my mothers 2 many tears 2 many fears 2many years of oppression Life can be stressing I feel 4 those who suffer depression 2 lose a love one from some gun shots i know it 2 well My cousin chaz became a victim of the summer as well He was my cousin and my right hand He would've been my best man I couldve saw him getting married Neva thought of getting buried Niggas kill u over nothing cuz these Niggas is scary When it aint safe 2 walk ya own block thats when u should worry Cin city cin city its the city of sin Still killing our kin the same people hat sharing ya skin We come from the struggle but we dont give a f*ck bout each other Niggas is dead or they in jail leaving kids with they mothers Community dying we killed by the police and our brothers No love in the streets U dying from the slugs from the heat 2morro will come but the killing cycle repeats Aint gotta be beef u can just be crossing the street Cold summer in the city everybody is strapped U gotta keep ya eyes open gotta watch ya back Niggas aint tryna rule the world they rather rule the streets Praying 4 peace around the world and 4 peace in the streets Rest in peace 2 all the victims may they sleep in peace Tear drops and open caskets with brothas inside Mothers is crying they feelings hurt they empty inside From losing they sons cause they cant put aside they pride A brotha just died they showed on em dying live in the t It took me back 2 2010 my cuz was killed in the t In front of the fam it made me hate my own kind Cause we will come 2 2gtha when its cops but not our own kind Dont wanna see u do good dont wanna give u no shine They say its all statistics but it is what it is Cause we cant be realistic in the place that we live If u dead or in jail u cant do nothing 4 ur kids U throw yo life away when u doing hella bids I seen enuff of the hate it's plenty of food so stay off my plate We all can be great this killing shit is really disgrace So get it 2gtha yall looking like some clowns out here And it aint safe u gotta really look around round here
