I see the sun light up your eyes I wish that everything was fine Because you're all I've ever known But now the roses on the lawn are overgrown I'll take you flowers once a month If you can tell me that you're enough I miss the way we used to talk when we were kids But kids are fearless I know that everything's gone wrong I wish that you were better off I miss the way we used to talk Tell me that you still care I don't think that I can make it through without you there Tell me that you're okay I promise that it all gets better every single day I guess we're out of luck You don't know what to do Apart from laying out our options, I'm still used to being cautious Til I work this through I'll take you flowers once a month If you can tell me that I'm enough I miss the way we used to talk, six months ago We were so fearless I know that you're still fired up I wish that we were better off I miss the way we used to talk Tell me that it's not fair Do you really miss me, or just miss what wasn't there Tell me what I should say I don't know what would've happened if we stayed the same I promise that it all gets better every single day
