How strange a thing and sorrowful To lose a friend you never had Like the tight rope that we walked on Time, too, seemed endless till it snapped I know you think I somehow win But this time you're not right If you knew what you meant to me, you'd know There are no winners here tonight Can't help but feel a little used But still more sad than mad I know that you had so much more to lose and after all, can't I lose a friend I never had And I don't know if I was really blind Or if I chose to be But what I know is that there are No winners here, you see And I'm not sure, what hurts the most Is it the empty chair Or is it knowing it was all Too much for you to bare. Although the fog's been lifted The missing puzzle pieces found My memories have been twisted So there are no winners to be crowned Although not in the way you'd like You still can't leave my mind And though the picture is now clear I'm now left wondering what was real There are no winners here Tonight Maybe another time…
