Save Me!

I was running fast down a dark lonely road Heart of pride sadness was a heavy load Woke up one morning the shadows closing in Felt a truth so sharp cutting through my skin Lord Forgive Me! (Save me from my sin) PLEASE SAVE ME! (I failed you yet again) I cried to the heavens "Lord I'm lost it's true Need You to save me I don't know what to do" Fell to my knees in the mud and the rain Begged for mercy to wash away my shame Had to look in the mirror face the man I'd been All my faults and failures piling up with sin A Voice kept calling soft but strong as steel "Lay it down my son let your soul rest and heal " Lord Forgive Me!
