i'm getting back to my roots i'm getting introspective i took a year off of thought it changes your perspective cause i don't wanna think about the shit that makes me wanna end up dead i'm getting out of my groove it's getting harder to see how i'm supposed to live up to who i know i can be yeah, i don't wanna think about the person i know i have to become i'll save it for later cause i'm young and free living for me say what you will but i don't wanna be who i am sometimes i just want a simple life money and power may not be for me cause i don't want to have the responsibility we all say we want change without changing our ways so maybe change yourself before you change the world money and power came quite easily when my life was a mess, back when i was a teen i said i wanted change without changing my ways i should have changed myself before i changed the world change yourself before you change the world yeah, you should change yourself before you change the world i think i'm losing my touch i got too comfortable living the life that i feel like maybe i don't deserve and i can't set any goals cause there is nothing to top for me i haven't written my stress i just don't know what to say i feel like i can't express shit in a negative way cause i'm so fortunate to have it all everything i want and more cause i'm young and free living for me say what you will but i don't wanna be who i am sometimes i just want a simple life money and power may not be for me cause i don't want to have the responsibility we all say we want change without changing our ways so maybe change yourself before you change the world money and power came quite easily when my life was a mess, back when i was a teen i said i wanted change without changing my ways i should have changed myself before i changed the world change yourself before you change the world yeah, you should change yourself before you change the world
