Treading Minefields

You're walking through minefields on tips of your toes Just hoping and praying that they don't explode Treading such dangerous grounds Thinking there's treasure to be found Now everyone here's looking so alarmed Keeping safe distance and watching from far We've called out our pleas to you With no luck in getting through We've begged that you leave the lands you tread We don't know why you've ignored signs you've read I can hardly guess what is going through your head Your walks in the shadowlands seem so in vain Your time in those places will leave you in pain There's no gold for miles around Just darkness and danger abound No queen's out there wearing her sparkling gown No princess is waiting to bring you your crown I don't like to tell you you're wrong But please come back where you belong We've begged that you leave the lands you tread We don't know why you've ignored signs you've read But at this point there's been little left unsaid
