Cosmic Rain

The street lights are fading and the stars along with them The clouds overlap darkness and the sound of thundering My soul departs my body The paleness of my skin And the sound of distant wailing The sirens closing in The rain coats in amber as the water breaks the glow And the drops upon the figure runs a river down it's bones All alone This life we live so briefly Gets cut ever so short When the time aligns with fate and suddenly there's nothing more My body lay so broken Awaiting the exit sign The grief left over me will fade at the end of time. And the sun again still rises as the earth rotates around Where do I go from here I don't know where I am bound I don't know where I am bound
