I Miss Her

I was 29 when she passed away Left with so many questions and things to say Didn't know life could hurt so bad Death left me doubting and so mad I stood by her graveside and said goodbye Watched as the crowd left my side Forced to accept that she's really gone Learned the hard way that life goes on But I miss her Yes I miss her Yes I miss her Saying goodbye to her was never in my plans Now I have a family of my own I wish she could see how much they've grown They never got to see her smile And that's a pain I must reconcile Oh God I miss her Yes I miss her Yes I miss her Living without her here was never in my plans Wish I could talk to her and learn from her again Cuz she died before I had the chance to be her friend And I think she left the best parts of herself behind Her love for family life and Jesus now are mine And I miss her Yes I miss her Yes I miss her Remembering life with her is now my only plan I'm 44 now and I finally see She left the best parts of herself in me
