If you were given thirty-six hours To walk amongst and arouse the flowers For moments rid of COVID-19 To experience what feels like a dream Night falls and the sun goes to sleep But I don't sit where I am counting just counting sheep, No I scamper with excitement in my eyes To observe the magnificent fireflies The hours they calmly pass by And I sit cross-legged watching the sunrise And the birds come out in the bright blue sky Then I become sluggish and start to realize The bird chirps start to fade away Do cardiac monitors sound the same? A wave of heat torments my head My lungs collapse and my heart becomes...
