Sending and Receiving

I'm gonna dig deep, deep down I'm gonna find the sound The subtle, vibrational twitch That stings my heart and makes my skin itch I'm gonna hold my breath until My bones are still And my lungs fill With the soft soil And I am whole again Buried with the feelings As I begin this process of Sending and receiving I feel myself bleeding But can't find the wound I inhale the blood, drop by drop And breathe it into my heart I'm gonna lie down naked in the rain Where the shame can Drip off of me like Dirt from a dog And the tears and the river water are all the same I'm gonna let it have me So I can be free No false hope or faith for me Please Just big, empty blackness And a hurt so big, it could hold you For eternity For eternity As I begin this process of Sending and receiving I feel myself bleeding But can't find the wound I inhale the blood, drop by drop And breathe it into my heart It doesn't end but it's a start
