I took a trip to Charleston late last year Trying to find what I held so dear Felt the history burning in the air I look around every corner hoping you are there Drunk as a sailor looking for a fight I met a girl flew to Vegas that same night A few days later it occurred to me it could never be What you and I had could never be. I told the girl goodbye, as a tear rolled down her face I told I didn't love her I was trying to replace The time in my life I held so dear What ever happen to us ant exactly clear?
