I cut through the cord that ties Us to heavenly realms I find my Self falling away from view Back into the night Panic strangles me, I lose control Yet I cannot let go Of this traumatic experience Have I forgotten how? No word from my mouth Will reach your ears Like stones they fall From my tongue Sinking into The deep without From which nothing Does resound How can I find the way Through the dark back to my Self If there is no one here No voice or light that guides Losing all sense of direction And perception of time Like a thousand lives have passed through me In the blink of an eye
