ALL OF THE ABOVE

"Some of us were meant to build a home Some of us were meant to always roam Some of us were raised to be on our own" And so you ask me to which I belong well, maybe it's all of the above Maybe I don't have to choose one Life is so short - and yet it is long Here for a lifetime, & the next we're gone And the things we once always used to dream of Oh The CERTAINTY of life you raised your kids on They're all a relic of a world that's long gone So can anyone say what's really going on? Or say... That some of us were meant to build a home Some of us we were meant to always roam Or some of us were raised to be our own even if it is so, each to their own Cause maybe it's all of the above Maybe you don't have to choose one Life is so short, and yet it is long Here for a lifetime, and the next we're gone Some a home, Some to roam Some alone Each to their own
