This is for the mom's and dad's of the friend group, You know That give the best advice but never take it And when they don't take their own advice They get hurt, they go into their shell, all that This is for everybody, let's go I hope you start taking the advice, That you've given into all your friends So you can go and lead a better life And stop wasting it on them You gotta have your own thing, own thing Even if it's lonely Own thing, own thing Better than no peace The thing that I'm seeing, it be sad as hell The people with biggest hearts, hiding back in to their shell It's a shame, but really what you can you do When influenced, by negativity from your crew It's like I'm riddling, the same dang advice If you don't deal with the trauma, (p) it's back into your life Drama from your childhood, now repeats From where you do business, to where you eat And I know, its a sudden reflex But you can't embrace the world, when stuck on the defense Or all at least, not whole heartedly Is all love transactional?, honestly I don't know, I ask myself A question, that I haven't really answered well I know the world's, so cold with the blunder But I hope you regain the joy, you had when you were younger I hope you start taking the advice, That you've given into all your friends So you can go and lead a better life And stop wasting it on them You gotta have your own thing, own thing Even if it's lonely Own thing, own thing Better than no peace
