Winter Days

It's only warm when it rains Save me from these winter days Don't feed the ducks Your only gonna make them hurt Don't feed the flame Or you'll only get burned Seen every version of myself along this path today It’s a new year so I don’t wanna make the same mistakes And honestly it feels like I’m always ready to break How much more time and much more effort is this shit gonna take It's only warm when it rains Save me from these winter days You got all the problems but not the solution To fix you would be my new year's resolution I'm getting better with every day And I’m happy to tell you I’m doing ok Cause It's time to fix this bridge And get out of this maze Cause I just need forward from these winter days I'd like to see the summer Cause I can feel everything getting better And I don’t wanna be pent up in that dark place again I’m looking forward to a better brighter future when I can be proud of all the things I’ve done and where I’ve been Because I'm ready and I'm willing for my life to begin It's only warm when it rains Save me from these winter days You got all the problems but not the solution To fix you would be my new year's resolution I'm getting better with every day And I’m happy to tell you I’m doing ok Cause It's time to fix this bridge And get out of this maze Cause I just need forward from these winter days And I’m so scared for the future and my life Cause I’ve got so much indecision inside And I know eventually that things will be ok But can you pull me from of these winter days Because they represent every hurdle that’s come my way Always leaving me feeling cold and empty And I’ve moved on from them, I’ve gotten better And I’m glad I’m able to tell about it from a past tense perspective As I sit outside I can feel the air change from its harsh bite to a welcoming breeze With its arms open to me It’s hands no longer rolling the dice on what my future will hold But instead, planting flowers amongst my bones As I watch the flowers bloom and the moss grow, I know that I’ve persevered through my darkest nights into my brightest days And then And only then Am I confident that I truly have survived the winter And I’m so scared for the future and my life Cause I’ve got so much indecision inside And I know eventually that things will be ok But can you pull me from of these winter days It's only warm when it rains Save me from these winter days
