Bloom

There's a lie we were sold Somewhere along the lines We learnt the pleasure of not being enough ​ We learnt that as long as we kept looking forward Hands grasping towards the next The sun would remain just outside of our reach ​ We taught ourselves to crave it Strive towards it Because at least it would keep us going At least it gave us an excuse to be great ​ But what if we chose greatness on our own? Not in spite of difficulty but rather in pursuit of wonder What if we let ourselves bloom?
