Once upon a time Life happened And it was glorious and wonderful and lovely Until it wasn't That taught me that just because things started off as fairytale Does not mean they will end that way There was once a girl whose life was marked by tragedy Each year she lost someone she loved Like clockwork, like a curse Trauma is a beautiful brutish thing It creates pain where there should exist none It imprints itself on life like a stamp Our little heroine hates death But has been taught to fear life as well This story is not a sad one But I bet you've already assumed it is Once upon a time, life happened to this girl It was glorious and tragic and wonderful and sad But it was life nonetheless She lost loved ones But gained more She wrote this story A sloped languid tale But she refused to end it She refuses to end it
