The Path

In all things lacking flawless design The gaps we see are hints divine A reminder from beyond it's true That one day holes may pierce us through Return belongs to that alone Eternity claims that as its own To speak of it is through a tear To leave behind what's truly here Writing in this little book was wrong There were others I'd make them strong How I was mistaken! So weary too This book was just for words not to see through What I've been through it won't convey Those images gone swept away In our dream as it is told Patience is the finest trait to hold Yet both in their hearts would Do you trust the eye could Our wisdom lies therein Trust in passion let it steer And breath it steer And face that that is through a tear To leave the body throughly here Embrace it well without a fear Swallow the fire that dims to ember It will warm your heart as long as you remember Go as yourself steadfast and wise I spoke it and found my place Though the winds scorned my face Its quarrel was not mine I say What am I writing so far from the grave?
