Now tell me what was your goal? Was "mediocre" what you aimed for? Did you think of common sense, or were you stuck in arrogance again? When did you turn into what I speak of now? I never thought someone so close at one time could be distant now And I know, that you wanted the attention, and I miss the times I'd visit with you daily But it shows, between the whole routine of made up stories That you've become the one remembered vaguely You sound like someone that I used to know It's funny how the things you like can affect the way you grow And I've been growing away from everything of this place and I'm not sorry I'll probably never be sorry again And in the spring 2010, I can't help question you again With only 2 more years before waiting for the world to end Wouldn't it be something if we all woke up in the morning and everything was back upon the shelf? Just as it was December 2012 And we had the time you needed, and you hadn't turned your back on what we wanted So let go, because nothing's going to be the same again You can't just change the past because you're haunted You seem like someone but it can't be so It's funny how the ones you loved are the worst at letting go And I've been growing away from everyone in this place and I'm not sorry I'll probably never be sorry again
