Grey Into Blue

Sometimes I think I'm getting bored of what I am I don't expect the world to understand but I'm Leaving dents in the chairs where I sit Try to follow footprints I no longer fit But time outgrows shoes And I don't know where they're walking to But I can choose to lace them tight or take em off Just once I'd like to fall through the sky without a parachute Just once I'd like to know my future isn't absolute Just once I'd like to travel the world without a dollar or two Step into the uncertain and turn my Grey into Blue The clouds follow me they know where I live My knees hold me up but soon they'll give Cause everyone wants something from me, I swear I'm a prize When I inhale, my exhale seems to compromise But time heals all wounds Hold onto the ones you're still working through And the world doesn't stop while you figure out what you want or what you'll do Just once I'd like to fall through the sky without a parachute Just once I'd like to know my future isn't absolute Just once I'd like to travel the world without a dollar or two Step into the uncertain and turn my Grey into Blue It seems truly Narcissist But a part of it rings true I thought I'd work it out by 22 And deep within the heart of me I can finally feel new, Knowing No one knows what the hell to do Just once I'd like to know that kindness is no substitute For needing things, or having them, but never feeling resolute And I have to know that youthfulness is not something that I'll ever lose It comes with being uncertain and turning Grey into Blue Grey into Blue
