When the fire is growing, and the smoke is billowing Hit the front door running Make sure you’ve got your children Sitting out on the sidewalk Neighbors gasping in turn All the ladders and the hoses They cannot quench that burn And all of the firemen and all our inventions are no match for that ancient of elements And all, all we can do is, turn and run.
