One Of These Days

I woke up with a chip on my shoulder Seems like another off day Tried my best just to get some sleep but I couldn't put my mind at bay I wake up and I'm in the shower Brush my teeth and wash my face Hype myself up in the mirror Pray to God for a good day My days all go the same Enough to drive a person insane I'd be lying if I say I didn't love it But sometimes I need a break From the pursuit of my dreams Stuck in my way My critic, yeah, he's here to stay Negative thoughts always stacking up on me But I just push them all away Because one of these days I'm gonna make it, yeah, one of these days In the studio to write some more Make a song then I am out the door Eat the same meal as the day before Work out till I'm sore Back inside then I start to read Got a mind and a soul that I have to feed Get my work clothes on cause it's time to leave Get home then it's back to sleep This is how I spend my days A hole I can't escape I'd be lying if I say I didn't love it But sometimes I need a break From the pursuit of my dreams Stuck in my way My critic, yeah, he's here to stay Negative thoughts always stacking up on me But I just push them all away Because one of these days I'm gonna make it, yeah, one of these days
