A Kinder Tide

Lightning falls from the sky Like nothing I’ve ever seen I wonder if I’m getting there Or staying in between This ship won’t hold much longer Water’s getting in Soon beautiful nature will show Its ruthlessness within The flare gun shoots a shooting star Of reddish distant hope Dreaming of a helicopter Or a fellow boat Floating like a bottle With unfinished words inside Waiting for the rescue Or at least a kinder tide Thor is striking his anvil Gust of a thousand red windmills The cold takes hold of my bones But I’ll find my way back home In the darkest night sky Bokeh lights come towards me I find my strength again In a long sigh of relief Spinning rotors of salvation They throw a rope ladder to the sea I can’t wait to see once again your lovely eyes of green
