I got some pretty flowers for Valentine's The kind that lasts way longer than other ones But I was surprised, when their petals fell Nostalgic pangs when their beauty faded Like the flowers of the field I wondered for a moment what all this meant Does it make them less worthy than the rest? But I understood what their purpose was They were created to uplift the heart Like the flowers of the field I remembered the life cycle of butterflies They trust the process fully until they fly We are God's creation-He knows us well If He clothes the lilies, won't He care for us as well?
