Playing Dead

Do you ever sit and think About how all living things Have desire and are wired to survive?  It's human nature to fit in Social rejection is forbidden  So we downplay and forget what's in our hearts  Comparing life through filtered lense With no connection we feel spent Drifting further from life we wish to live I show my colors, won't conform Not complacent anymore  Say what you want, But I'm no longer in playing dead  I have opinions and a voice  Silence no longer fills the void I am not crazy, I'm no longer playing dead  As kids we're born with dreams As adults we bury things That were meant to guide us all along Try to teach us what is the best Get familiar with unrest We get further from the knowing deep inside Comparing life through filtered lense With no connection we feel spent Drifting further from life we wish to live I show my colors, won't conform Not complacent anymore  Say what you want, But I'm no longer playing dead  I have opinions and a voice  Silence no longer fills the void I am not crazy, I'm longer playing dead  We take our place amongst the people in this line That is guiding us to be in a disguise  But the truth will set us free  Rather walk away with me than a facade of reality  I show my colors, won't conform Not complacent anymore  Say what you want But I'm no longer playing dead  I have opinions and a voice  Silence no longer fills the void I am not crazy I'm longer playing dead
