Aimless

I wander with No destination in mind A tranquil labyrinth A prison of my own design And now the sum of my time I memorize the shape of my ceiling A monotone feeling Pins and needles Inspiration slips through my fingers Another endless day has come and gone My thoughts move 1000 miles an hour While I stand still in the shower This oxygen is sour I'm aimless I'm aimless Drawn back to procrastination I can't help myself I have so much to do So I may as well do something else The wind lies in wait But my caution never comes It's trapped Inside the Setting sun Overwhelmed by the work to be done So I'll put it off Till the morning comes Familiar the pain As it leaves do I lose a friend The feel of malaise As they put me under again Breath easy And count backwards from ten Breath easy And count backwards from ten
