Love Machine

Don´t you realize it We´ve built ourselves a love machine The grinding started slowly But now it´s running like a dream Valves and flaps and logs and loops Bits and pipes and wheels and tubes Customized to our requirements With levers to pull and buttons to push Mechanical maniacal, sometimes inexplicable Well oiled and polished, running smooth Doing good All the little wheels are turning To keep the fire in the furnace burning All the little wheels are turning To keep the vessel steaming on It pulls us tight and lets us flow And produce our loving glow Our little love machine - oohoo When I was younger I built myself a hate machine The grinding started slowly But then I could not stop the thing It only burst when I met you And all the pipes and wheels and tubes Were undone to build something new And everything connected with everything around To fix the parts where love abounded Mechanical maniacal, sometimes inexplicable Well oiled and polished, running smooth Doing good
