After all of this time I never thought that this would be my life Writing sad poetry in the pouring rain While your commanding eyes look back at me After all of this time The color red is still as appealing as it was before Everything in this room is colored red Everything except the door The color red means many things Anger, passion Fear, power Energy, and even danger Red is such an intense color And that's the reason I was addicted to you You were my red You were my anger You were my passion You were my energy But you're so fucking dangerous I can't seem to shake the thought of you, though I try and I try, but what's the use You're etched into the back of my mind the way your name is engraved on the necklace I bought you last year I've tried to miss you, but I just don't anymore I tried to love you, but you didn't want me anymore I tried to forgive you, but you never apologized So now I'm resentful toward you Each time I hear your name I just want to break the mirror I want to shatter every thought and every moment we shared I want to detach myself from you But I cant You took something from me I can never get back You took my sanity And now I'm red I'm furious I'm afraid I'm dangerous But because of you I lack the passion I once had You took so much from me in such a short period of time I hope you get what you deserve I hope you see what you've done to me I hope you regret breaking me I'm not the same person I was before I've changed And now everyone will know my story Now everyone will know how manipulative you truly are Now everyone will see me deteriorating Because of you My true colors are beginning to show And the only one I can see anymore is red
