She Used To Say Bootiful

Rabbits eating grass squirrels stealing all the birdseed It's a beautiful world in our backyard my daughter would point out to me She had a knack for finding four leaf clovers in the lawn Now I have to close my eyes to remember a world I never took the time to see She used to say Bootiful instead of beautiful She used to say her shoes were rude When they were a little too small But this all happened yesterday before I knew She'd been right all along it was Bootiful Now those days are gone she's practically all grown up Can't wait to get out the door and get on with her new day But I'll still drive her to school every single chance I get There's not a chance I'll let another precious moment slip away She's been right all along it was beautiful
