Three years ago I walked in my front door And my sweetheart smiled Told me that I was gonna to be a dad When the information set in I knew that I had to grow up Two years ago At the hospital I was standing by my ladies side Holding her so tight I heard a new voice crying When our baby came into the world One year ago She was crawling on the floor Until the day she got the strength Started standing up My knees got shaky Cuz she’s not a baby anymore One day ago I was sitting round the home With my little girl walkin proud Talking to herself When she starts laughin Time stops passin on And I remember Three years ago
