Brief History

When I was five I left my cozy life in Tennessee My mom took me to L.A. to be on TV It wasn't 'til I was 15 fame introduced herself to me In the beginning of my brief history I never really made a name but I made songs and movies too I was in a band with brother until another state he moved And we still love each other but to death my dream it blew I was in misery I thought that it would be the end of my brief history When our daddy died I didn't get to say a word I was by his side until they pulled the cord And I wish he could've stayed until my son and daughter came They were all premature It's a mystery but this is my brief history It's all it's all true Yeah nothing's fake I'm telling you it's real It may be harder to believe Can you Imagine how I feel? I couldn't change a thing I got the cards there were to deal It's not all glittery But God's been here with me through all of my brief history There'll be more story to tell and I hope it's very long I'll live at least 60 more years and have to write another song With my husband by my side and a few grandkids on the way We'll have a legacy and they'll look back and say Oh her brief history means so much to me today
