I close my eyes I'm in your room You're taking your clothes off Then off comes your skin You press my head Into your chest It wasn't fair then and it isn't now and I'm sorry I wasn't around Bookends bursting From pushing outwards Towards a different place A Calm I can't forgive and forget Blood oaths bruising From peeling scabs I missed it then and I miss it now and I'm sorry I wasn't around But you Vanished like a ghost that came in through a dream turned into a nightmare And its true I'll wake up feeling better some day soon But for now I'll sit and shake the whole night through Callow Finding myself sketching traces Of memories that never happened I wish I was just as devastating
