Skyline's got a funny way of reminding me of you Shape it takes as the sunrise replaces the moon Sunlight fills the now empty places we used to go Ever since the world ended I've never felt so alone As soon as you said goodbye The atom bomb split in the sky Not sure how or why I managed to survive You never even left a note no message at the tone Sitting in the place we used to look up in the sky but now I'm alone Sun shines off the windows and there's mist in the air Three weeks in the wasteland Still so unaware But now it's just me and some skyline Of a city that will never look the same You and a new life And me left stranded in this place This place used to be a metropolis don't you know Now all the bars are closed so I just drink at home Leaving me and the buildings on our own This town died when you left it So long ago It would've killed me to see you walk away But I would've died inside if you done what you did and still stayed Smoke rolls and the wind blows in this old forgotten town You stranded me in this concrete sea No way to be found So now it's just me and some skyline Of a city that will never look the same You and a new life Me left stranded in this place
