Work To Live

Oh I thought I knew What I would do When walking out the door But instead I find No mastermind Guiding me like I had before It's the freedom I've Been working for But not what I'd intend Have I lost my mind Trying to perform While trying to pay the rent? I guess we'll never know Oh the life I've lived And things I've seen Have helped me make it this far But is far to me Caught in between My life right now and before? Well when I was three My mom wrote to me Telling me what we did that day Now at twenty-three Some things have changed But mostly I've stayed the same So do I work to live Or live to work? I guess we'll never know So how can I Try to define What dreams were meant to be For me All the things that I That I want to try They are slipping away Am I wasting my time?
