Aisha’s Mood

I’m not at ease, but I dream to be Untroubled and lucky some day So you see, there’s a light in me That shines so bright for the whole world to see And, yet, I can’t get out of this mood I am free to sing my lungs out To cry my eyes out To heal myself and others And proudly represent my foremothers And, yet, I can’t get out of this mood So you see, I ran away from myself Until I believed that I was so far apart But, when I got there Between nowhere and somewhere I felt within my heart, I’m with myself And, yet, I can get out of this mood So you see, I really am free I am really me, beautifully I was afraid of who I’m supposed to be And, when I met with who I am That mood that was blue turned to green And, yet, I got out of that mood
