When we used to be around You'd see our footprints on the ground We'd tread the earth without a sound That's when we used to be around And the leaves came falling down For those who knew would wear a frown Then winter came into our town After the leaves had fallen down The end of spring, a summer's rain Children 'round a sheaf of grain Where old had gone a new life came That sadness wasn't all in vain
