I've been a child and I've been a man I've been a woman & that's a fact Dissociate with the crowds in my brain They take control in a mental refrain The trauma that I suffered in youth These personalities are 'cause of you The things you did have taken their toll It's hard for me to now take full control Now you see me, now you don't All these people coming out Me now I'm she now I'm he now I'm me People inside always taking over me Inside of me they are waiting to be free Can't you see The multiples of me My life now has become so complex I'll never know where I'll end up next My alters lead their own unique lives I switch between them all of the time Some they help but some they do harm I sometimes wake up with new scars on my arm This one is veggie, this one does eat meat This one is angry, the other is me Now you see me, now you don't All these people coming out Me now I'm she now I'm he now I'm me People inside always taking over me Inside of me they are waiting to be free Can't you see The multiples of me Many identities are in me Over time each one you will see My voice changes, and so does my gait My way of thinking is no more on the plate Each one inside me has a role to play Everyone has something to say Co-consciousness is how we exist Repressing memories, the struggle persists Now you see me, now you don't All these people coming out Me now I'm she now I'm he now I'm me People inside always taking over me Inside of me they are waiting to be free Can't you see The multiples of me
