Hourglass of Time

Time, stolen from nowhere Made up of moments of despair My needs magnified In this hourglass of time I wait and I watch As the sand trickles through The dark hole in the centre Watching me too My eyes have run dry The tears just won’t cry Feel like I’ve been passed Through darkness too Time, just hangs there While I watch in despair My fingers reaching out My heart holding back I’ve spent too many hours waiting Waiting for my love to come by My heart’s been broken Too many times before Watching & waiting I don’t trust time anymore My hands remain glued Fixed by my sides I cannot lift them For fear of being refused The sand drops down My eyes fill up The tears start flowing One drop at a time And time, passes by Slipping away My eyes are so tired Of looking that way Waiting for a glimpse Waiting for the hurt to pass Until the next time……. Time, just hangs there While I watch in despair My fingers reaching out My heart holding back Waiting for the hurt to pass Until the next time…….
