Fire and Brimstone

I smell the soot and brimstone I never really thought that I'd be so alone But the cracks in the ground Are radiating hellfire And my soul is quaking For the futile desire My friends and family go limp And as I start to fade I feel my chest sink deep enough To reach my own grave As I choke on the air I feel the sickness calling The devil's waiting for me And I am slowly dying Surely if there's a god He'd be forgiving right? Or I wait in vein To live through This cursed night The mortals fight With moral plights But the gods play player And fuel the fire and brimstone The sunbeams start to shoot Right through the darkened clouds And I can hear the trumpets playing Loud and proud As I stand there waiting For some wish to come true I realize that it's to late For me to come home to you Is this all that were meant for Is this my biggest fear To sit here and look back On all my troubled years When all those long nights I thought that I was better off dead Now that I am I feel things were better left just said Now that I feel the heat And the rising temperature As hell's angel descend From the hellish atmosphere The song of screams is humming From a passed out homeless man While creatures of horror Rip into his soft flesh Lord I'm so sorry, For not being good you see I did my every best to fit Your every little need I fulfilled my own desire Yeah, But I also did you good By not being a jerk And taking no as an answer And now as the tides roll out I'll take all the seeds And I'll crush them out of pure hatred And feed my jealousy I can feel, I can smell, I can hear, the fire and brimstone I can feel, I can smell, I can hear, the fire and brimstone And if you wanna be like me Then you can feel it too
