Forgiveness

I stumbled into a church Up upon the perch Was the image of a man With a crown in his hands As I walked through the entrance While thinking about repentance A priest named John approached me He spoke to me so clearly John asked me why I had come I told him I was on the run He asked me for the reason I confessed to the treason Of taking another man's life But he pointed at me his knife So John said to pray for forgiveness And that I should not miss this For in front laid two different paths One of joy and one of wrath And it was up to me to choose Where to walk with both my shoes So I agreed with what he spoke For the man was good folk I thanked John and went on my way Deeply moved by what he did say
