Tucked away amongst the winding roads and burnt trees Of the Warrumbungles National Park You'll find Whitegum Lookout As I look out from Whitegum at the ancient rocks and sky I realise that I'm a guest here When I look out at Whitegum It's one of the few places where I feel truly at peace I realise that I'm a guest here From Whitegum the sun sets perfectly between the Warrumbungles It's the last place the sun sees every day before setting It's a place that takes your breath away And makes you feel small but in the best kind of way I realise that I'm a guest here One of the few places where I feel truly at peace It's one of the most beautiful places on earth A special part of Australia for those lucky enough to have been My experience is mixed with my questions and thoughts And I feel as though they are drawn out with the fading colour And answered by the sounds and smells of the bush at sunset Somewhere where my thoughts are given perspective And realigns me to the way in which we are all connected It's the last place the sun sees every day before setting The stunning landscape has stood there for so long And it'll remain there for long after I am gone I feel drawn into silence I feel drawn into silence Realigns me to the way in which we are all connected Special part of Australia for those lucky enough to have been I feel drawn into silence It's a place that takes your breath away And makes you feel small but in the best kind of way I realise that I'm a guest here and I feel welcomed Froggies If you go there be still, tread lightly Reflect on the people that have come before you And open your heart up to receive the peace and blessings of their country
