K, I was talking to my mother this week And I have to say this She was upset And she was upset Because the Black community was under an attack on Saturday Yes, it was There was a shooting in Buffalo And it was an attack on Black people An attack on everybody Who Is in favor of equality But The Black community Uh, the Black history The Black church, and this used to be a church Is a history of resilience Yes, it is And this man who shot up the People in Buffalo He wrote a document, and I read some of that document And he was a terrorist through and through He-he literally said That he can't kill all the Black people But he wants to Scare Everybody We need to Make sure That does not happen We're gonna have to stand strong in this Mark Twain once said that Life is a tragedy, uh, to those who feel Uh, but a comedy to those who think And It's no accident That In that element It's been Black comics Whether it's Richard Pryor Or Dave Chappelle Or Patrice O'Neal Or Chris Rock Or Hannibal Buress Or Bernie Mac Who have Moved Through pain Into-into laughter And it's funny cause this shooter...
