James and the Giant Peach

James was eating a giant peach While Gilbert sipped on a purple drink When James decided he wanted to go to town So James took his giant peach And he put it on a giant leash And he said now hey Gilbert I'm going to giant town He wanted to fight giants there With his giant peach on a giant leash But there were too many giants to fight alone But James was really still in his shed This was all imagined in his head For James was doing acid again When in through the door walked Mary Released from jail early unexpectedly Come to seek some vengeance on James You see James had tipped off the authorities About the dead body in his alley Forgetting that it was him and Mary who put it there But Mary claimed she never killed nobody It was just a john who allegedly O.D.'d After a night of doing drugs and amorosity Oh Mary had a little lamb She slit his throat filleted it and fried it in a pan And that's what she's come to do to you now James too But James reacted quickly and ran out the back door Which was really just a hole in the shed wall And he hopped a train for Albuquerque And it was while crossing the great prairie The acid started to wear off and James had an epiphany He thought maybe it's time to clean my life up I'm gonna get off of drugs and go back to school Get a good job and meet a nice girl Maybe I'll even marry a librarian I'll work for the electric utility We'll buy a ranch house and raise a family We'll have two kids who play in the Little League I'll drive a Chevrolet pick-up truck and eat apple pie Grill hot dogs on the grill and we'll go bowling on Wednesday night We will be living the American dream Well it was at that moment James slipped and fell off the train Cracked his head open and died in a ravine Oh well, and so it goes
