Paradise Lost

In the evening light They felt the need to hide From the presence of God Because they were naked How do you know this? But for one reason You ate forbidden fruit The man blamed the woman The woman blamed the snake But the fruit they ate No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil Paradise was lost for all of the people No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil A curse for the serpent to crawl on its belly And between it and the woman's seed Shall be enmity Kicking at the serpent's head And striking at her seeds heel To the woman came pain in childbirth To the man the ground is cursed By the sweat of his brow shall he eat Until to dust he returns No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil Paradise was lost for all of the people No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil God made clothes of animal skins to clothe them They became like God Knowing both good and evil They were banished east of Eden Cherubim and flaming swords Were placed around the tree of life So, they could not eat its fruit and live forever No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil Paradise was lost for all of the people No more Garden of Eden Just the knowledge of good and evil
