The Good Samaritan Loved his neighbour And had compassion The Good Samaritan A man set out on a journey And a group of thugs Jumped him and beat him down Robbing him and leaving him Almost dead on the ground Priests and religious leaders Saw him but passed by On the other side of the road The Good Samaritan Loved his neighbour And had compassion The Good Samaritan A Samaritan came by And saw the beaten man And had mercy on him He helped him First aiding his wounds with bandages Then helped the man up And brought him to an inn to heal The Good Samaritan Loved his neighbor And had compassion The Good Samaritan The Samaritan paid the innkeeper For a room for the beaten guy to heal And said he'd be back in a few days And check in on him And pay more if he needed to stay longer The Good Samaritan Loved his neighbor And had compassion The Good Samaritan
