There are days where I wake up ready to change the world Discover things that haven't been explored But as the day goes on I start lose control And end up spending hours on my phone I wish that I could say it's only happened once or twice But at this point it's been most of my life I'm ashamed of all these actions - I get so dang distracted And I can't change despite how hard I try I'm longing for your presence - fill me up inside Help me cast these idols aside It's been far too long and I don't know how to fight These habits that are taking my life I should've known this long ago But now I'm ready for you to take control As the day comes to an end I fall asleep upset And focus on my failures and regrets I've been stuck here for a while in a cycle that I hate Maybe I just don't have what it takes I'm always scared to death that I'm wasting my potential I dwell on the fact the I'm so sinful But instead of all my failures and all my second guessing Maybe I should focus on my blessings I'm longing for your presence - fill me up inside Help me cast these idols aside It's been far too long and I don't know how to fight These habits that are taking my life I should've known this long ago But now I'm ready for you to take control For you to take control Lord take control
